Buying Pressotherapy & Far Infrared Massage Machines: A Middle East Distributor's Review

Distributor

A Gulf-region distributor reviews what actually matters when importing pressotherapy and far infrared massage machines - price bands, MOQ, territory and after-sales - from first enquiry to repeat orders.

Why we switched to a factory-direct supplier

For years we sourced beauty equipment the way most regional distributors do: through trading platforms, where the same machines appear under ten different seller names and the price is always visible to your competitors. The margin gets squeezed, the supply is inconsistent, and when a unit fails, chasing a middleman for a spare is slow.

We wanted a direct line to a manufacturer: a stable supply of pressotherapy and far infrared massage machines, honest price bands, and territory protection that respects the work we do building a brand in our own market.

What we compared before the first order

Before committing we compared three things on every shortlisted machine: the full price band across models and configurations, the minimum order quantity for a first order, and the support we could realistically expect after the machines were in our warehouses. We also asked to video-tour the factory - not a sales highlight reel, but a live look at the production line and the QC station.

The machines we shortlisted all ran on dual voltage (100-240 V, 50/60 Hz), which matters when one SKU has to serve markets with different power standards. What separated the serious manufacturers was how clearly they could answer the after-sales questions.

Hello, we distribute beauty equipment across the Gulf. Please send your price list for BT-808 and BT-812, and your MOQ for a first order.
Hi, happy to. I can send the full price band and a PDF catalogue. For a first order the MOQ is 5 units per model - is that workable for you?
Workable. Can we talk about exclusive territory for the UAE and KSA? And can we video tour the factory this week?
Both yes. Territory is something we structure per region after the first order. Let's set up the video call - I'll show you the line and the QC station live.

The first order, and what happened after

The first order arrived with photos and a short video from the QC station before shipment, so we could inspect the units remotely before they left the factory. That single step - visible QC - is what made us comfortable scaling the order. There was no surprise when the machines reached our warehouse.

Since then we have re-ordered twice. The part that keeps the relationship healthy is the consumables: replacement air bags, tubes and electrode pads are always stocked at a known factory price, so our after-sales promise to our own customers is something we can actually keep.

What I'd tell another distributor

Verify the factory before you price the machines. A video call that shows the real line is worth more than any specification sheet. Second, plan for consumables from day one - a machine is only as good as the spare parts behind it. And be upfront about territory: the right manufacturer will structure it properly rather than promise it vaguely.

Have a specific question about these machines?

Talk directly to the factory - we reply within 24 hours.
